Newlyweds Jacob and Ali Bruch looked at exactly two houses before they found “the one” in the family friendly Crestwood neighborhood of Glendale last fall. Their buying experience moved quickly, in part because they weeded out a number of prospective homes they saw online by driving past them in person. “Don’t get set on anything from pictures,” Ali advises.

Working with a trusted Realtor and having realistic expectations about budget, home improvement projects and the extra expenses owning a home would bring kept them grounded in the search.
