Traveling art exhibition pays tribute during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

by Jan Schroder

This October, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition presents Survivor Expressions.

The program, launched in 2022, is led by Jill McNutt of The Art Therapy House, Inc., who uses one-on-one and group art-making sessions to guide participants on a creative journey aimed at using a variety of mediums to reflect, heal and celebrate their survivorship.

Seven artists contributed to this year’s exhibit, which opened in Milwaukee in August and will hit the road – traveling to Lake Geneva, Cedarburg, Ashland and Madison – pausing in Beaver Dam at Marshfield Medical Center Oct. 3-17.
