As the weather warms, adventurers flock to North Georgia’s Tallulah Gorge State Park. This natural wonder spans two miles and plunges nearly 1,000 feet deep, offering breathtaking vistas at every turn. The park features an 80-foot suspension bridge, trails, a 63-acre lake, campsites and much more.
During the warmer months, Bridal Veil Falls transforms into “Sliding Rock,” inviting thrill seekers to slide down its smooth rocks into the refreshing pool below. However, to explore the depths of the gorge and visit Sliding Rock Trail, a free permit is required, with only 100 permits issued per day.
