Students of all ages are invited to UW-Madison’s Back-to-School Bash at Chazen Museum of Art on Thursday, Aug. 31 between 3-5 p.m. for free tote bag decorating, snacks and a University of Wisconsin-style scavenger hunt – all in anticipation (and celebration) of going back to school.
The Chazen Museum of Art boasts learning opportunities at every turn, from ancient history (via the “Oil Jar (Lekythos) with Two Women Carrying Funerary Gifts,” attributed to The Timokrates Painter of Greece, circa 460 B.C.E.) to geometry (inherent to Hans Hofmann’s 1957 painting “August Light”).
The museum is open daily and always free.
