Support Wisconsin’s inclusive book club this giving season

by Jan Schroder

Join Spina Bifida Wisconsin (SBWIS) on Nov. 29 to celebrate Giving Tuesday – a generosity movement aimed at harnessing the spirit of the season – and contribute to the nonprofit’s ongoing story.

Proceeds from this one-day fundraising campaign will go toward supporting “BOOK CLUB” – a Zoom read-along for kids featuring age-appropriate children’s books addressing topics from self esteem and inclusion to abilities and spina bifida (a neural-tube defect of the spine affecting 1,400 babies born in the United States annually).

The goal is get books into the hands of young people – in particular those living with spina bifida and attending the read-along.
