Local luthier a legend in his own right

Denny Rauen knows a thing or two about music in Wisconsin. For nearly 40 years, he and his team at Rauen Guitars have set up, repaired and restored thousands of stringed instruments for local players as well as global legends. Rauen doesn’t discriminate; whether it’s your neighbor’s Stratocaster or one of Bruce Springsteen’s road guitars, they leave his shop looking and sounding their best.

“The Wisconsin music scene is excellent,” says Rauen. “There is a wealth of talent and many opportunities to get gigs, woodshed and come up through the ranks.”
