Dairyland is also a haven for manufacturing, and each year since 1988, the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards have honored companies excelling in culture, innovation and giving back to their communities.
In 2018, four companies took home Grand Awards: Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac; Robinson Metal, Inc. in De Pere; Winsert, Inc. in Marinette; and J&R Machine in Shawano. Two companies were given Special Awards: Gamber-Johnson LLC in Stevens Point for Exceptional Customer Relations, and Klement Sausage Company in Milwaukee for Market Innovation & Leadership.
