Looking for a refreshing change from the Hollywood formula? A unique date idea? Or just an excuse to visit Madison during spring?
April 4 marks the kickoff of the 21st annual Wisconsin Film Festival, a weeklong showcase of brave and beautiful indie films. Headliners include “Women at War,” an Icelandic feel-good comedy following a choir director who moonlights as an eco-warrior, defending the environment from big business. There’s also “Elephant Path,” a documentary following an African tribal elder and American biologist as they shepherd and protect the Central African Republic’s dwindling elephant population.
