With local restaurant weeks popping up across the state, Wisconsin food connoisseurs have reason to rejoice.

These weeks not only offer diners a chance to try an upscale bistro at an affordable fixed price, but they also make an economic impact on the community. Each July, more than 50 restaurants in Green Bay offer multi-course lunches for $10 and dinners for $10, $20 or $30; last year the week brought in $2.5 million.

Other participating cities include:

Kenosha

Lake Geneva

• Milwaukee Downtown and Black Restaurant Week

Wausau

Fox Cities

Fox Valley

• Madison Downtown and Black Restaurant Week

Sheboygan

Grace Gregg
