Close-knit work environment appeals to medical graduate

One of the first things Douglas Pierce liked about the Medical College of Wisconsin was the family environment he felt during his initial interview.

“Everybody gets along and likes each other and cares about each other,” said Pierce.

He’s seeking that same family environment in the workplace. It’s an objective that seems easily attainable given that Pierce will start a one-year internship with St. Joseph’s Hospital following graduation May 25. Then, he returns to Froedtert Hospital for four years of advanced training in diagnostic radiology.

“My wife and I are really happy to stay here in Milwaukee,” said Pierce.
