The Economic Impact Issue covered success stories about the state’s economy – from the recent business boom in Beloit, to the prosperous Eaux Claires festival.

Months before Harley-Davidson’s 115th Labor Day weekend event, 100,000 riders were forecasted to roll into Milwaukee for the anniversary celebration. Not only did the rally attendance exceed predictions with a total of 150,000 Harley-Davidson visitors between Aug. 29-Sept. 2, but the weekend’s activities, parties and parades brought in $95 million of revenue to southeastern Wisconsin, according to Visit Milwaukee. To compare, the 110th rally weekend generated $20 million of economic impact.
