“Milwaukee’s been discovered.”
That’s one way Milwaukee Department of City Development Commissioner Rocky Marcoux describes factors behind the city’s hotel boom on The Wisconsin 100 Podcast.
“It goes hand in glove with the development boom that is going on right now,” Marcoux says of Milwaukee’s hotel development. “The city of Milwaukee is experiencing unprecedented real estate growth in the downtown area. There’s no parallel in the city’s history in terms of either square footage, property valuation, any way you want to measure it, and that includes hotel rooms and the number of hotels.”
