When Amy Brengel agreed to transform her historic home in Milwaukee into the location of the 2018 Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse, she had no idea what she was agreeing to.

“It’s been quite an adventure,” said Brengel. She and husband, Ken, bought the Victorian/Gothic style house in 2002, using it primarily as commercial space. But, after seeing the home redecorated, they decided to move in.

“A house like this needs a family,” said Brengel. While her husband’s favorite transformation is the front hall, Brengel was wowed by the garden room, with its abundant natural light and outdoor patio access.
