Famous filmmaker transformed economy property into All-Movie Hotel

by Jan Schroder

While filming his new $120 million movie “Megalopolis” in Georgia, filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola was also working on another project – transforming an old Days Inn motel in Peachtree City into a resort that includes on-site post-production facilities for other filmmakers.

Coppola designed the 27 rooms and suites in the new All-Movie Hotel. Production facilities include edit suites, recording room and a small sound stage for rehearsal and reshoots. A screening room may be available for regular guests when it’s not in use.

Coppola spent 16 months in Georgia and did some reshoots and all of his post-production at the hotel.
