The snow has melted, and the roads are finally dry. If you haven’t removed your winter tires, here’s why doing so ASAP will save you big money.
Snow tires are mushy and flexible so they can push snow out of the way and connect with dry asphalt. Because they’re softer than regular tires, they wear out extremely quickly on dry roads. Plus, their flexibility means they have poor handling and grip and often emit excessive road noise.
Just as you wouldn’t wear your expensive hiking boots on the running trail, you should switch from winter to summer tires right away.
