Little Free Libraries leave big impact

Less than a decade ago, a man named Todd Bol held a rummage sale outside his western Wisconsin home. After using garage door remnants to construct a miniature schoolhouse, he filled it with books and stationed it at the end of his driveway, garnering attention from visitor after visitor.

Today, Bol’s Little Free Library movement ties neighbors across the globe together through his “take a book, leave a book” philosophy.

Although Bol passed in October, his legacy lives on through over 75,000 Little Free Libraries worldwide. Say “thank you” by starting your own library or donating to the mission.
