July 4

The coronavirus pandemic has changed summer plans more than anyone could have imagined.

At this time last year, the nation was preparing for annual July 4 celebrations, complete with fireworks, parades, cookouts and more. With socially-distant restrictions still in place, what will Independence Day look like this year around Milwaukee?

A majority of towns have cancelled all celebrations, with a few exceptions:

West Allis will hold a parade with just motorized vehicles and no floats.

Thiensville will send of fireworks at dusk on June 27.

• Delafield will have fireworks on July 3 in lieu of a parade.
