Wisconsin’s professional golf resume grows

From Erin Hills to Whistling Straits, Wisconsin is becoming a regular on the Professional Golf Association’s list of destinations. The U.S. Open came to Erin in 2017, which served as the centerpiece for one of the sport’s toughest tournaments. To get the course ready and up to PGA standards, hundreds of volunteers worked the grounds.

The Ryder Cup, to be held at Whistling Straits in September 2020, will draw international crowds and attention as a United States team takes on the world. At the tournament, held at The American Club in Kohler, golfers compete along Lake Michigan’s rugged shoreline.
