How a Madison co-op differentiates itself

by
Willy Street Co-op

Owned by the people for the people, Willy Street Co-op is far from a regular grocery store. While offering affordable, organic food to the Madison community from three locations, Willy Street is also defined by a commitment to charitable giving – specifically local nonprofits.

“More and more people care where their food comes from, how it was made and who made it,” Brendon Smith, director of communications, said. “They also want to know what happens to the money they spend on goods and services.

“As a cooperative, we not only share the answers to those questions – we’re proud of them.”
