Transformative, innovative and green – that’s how Marquette University’s planning committee envisions the first residence hall built on campus since 1968. Set to open in August, Wild Commons, named after longtime MU President Rev. Robert A. Wild, will be LEED-certified and incorporate a sustainable structure.
Along with that, the building will include the campus’ first major green roof, an underground water storage tank and a hops wall outside the building’s chapel. Sustainable practices are also found throughout the university’s Campus Master Plan.
