Podcast: UW-Madison student celebrates 8 years of scares

“We do everything possible to make the haunted house feel genuinely unique,” said Jacob Eugster, founder of Screamin’ Acres Haunted Houses Inc. and a UW-Madison business student.

In 2010, Eugster opened Screamin’ Acres haunted house at the same location as Eugster’s Farm Market, and today it’s been rated top haunt in Wisconsin – which could be due to Eugster’s dedication to authenticity.

“We don’t use any scripts or plastic props, only real antiques to create a genuine feel of authenticity,” Eugster says. “We do everything we can to avoid a break of legitimacy.”
