3 forms of car maintenance that are shockingly cheap (and easy) to DIY

Most people have figured out that you don’t need to pay a shop $70 for new wiper blades; just get a $15 pair at Costco and snap them in yourself like LEGO® bricks.

Here are three other easy things you can DIY to save hundreds:

Cabin air filters cost about $10 on Amazon and are usually hidden behind your glove box.

Engine air filters cost about $15. Once you find your engine air box, it’s a matter of popping the tabs and replacing it.

Washer fluid costs $4 per gallon. Look for this cap in your engine bay and pour away.
