Lands’ End sustains commitment to environment

by Michael Polzella
Lands' End

Headquartered in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Lands’ End is known for its comfortable, practical outerwear. But most are unaware of the company’s ongoing commitment to the environment.

Since the beginning, the organization has sustained meaningful initiatives under the Lands’ Friendly campaign to preserve lighthouses, Wisconsin lakes, national forests and unused apparel.

The entire nation has been impacted by Lands’ End’s eco-initiatives, including these statewide happenings:

• Planted over 385,000 trees in Wisconsin’s Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.

• Raised over $170,000 to reduce phosphorus in the Yahara Watershed in the Madison area.

• Donated $20,000 to restore Milwaukee’s North Point Lighthouse trail.
