To draw fans in on a summer night, Wisconsin minor league baseball teams get creative with promotions.
One that will make any weirdest minor league promotions list is the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ Salute to Cows night. Held during National Dairy Month, the evening features cheese sampling, milk chugging, competitive mooing and both inflatable and real cows.
“Timber Rattlers games are all about making the experience as entertaining as possible for our fans,” said Chris Mehring, director of media relations.
Recent examples from the collegiate-level Northwoods League include the Eau Claire Express’ funeral giveaway and Madison Mallards’ Bacon Appreciation Night.
