More homes were bought and sold in Wisconsin in 2017 than any other year in the last decade, and the state’s real estate market is off to a strong start in 2018, with the busiest season still ahead.

The market is certainly benefitting from a strong economy and low unemployment, as well as the fact that more buyers are entering the mix.

In this special real estate issue of The Wisconsin 100, we hope to capture the zeitgeist of the times — from the gentrification of neighborhoods spurred by commercial development to anecdotes, insights and trends from those in the trenches.
