It’s no secret that vaping has become disturbingly popular among America’s youth. According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, one in five high school students regularly inhales nicotine and other chemicals through e-cigarettes.
Understandably, the CDC is gravely concerned that vaping will re-normalize smoking. To head off the trend, a bipartisan group of Wisconsin lawmakers is pushing through legislation to tax vaping products and raise the purchasing age of all devices and cartridges to 21.
New anti-vaping proposals have a high likelihood of becoming law; 18 states and the District of Columbia have passed similar bills.
