Early networking dates help CEO maximize productivity

TEMPO Milwaukee President and CEO Jennifer Dirks typically starts her workday with 7 a.m. coffee meetings.

“I’ve discovered this is the time that works best with many of our members, vendors and customers,” Dirks said. “Starting my day early, gives me – and those I meet with – a chance to start the day with ‘coffee talk’ before heading into the office and attacking your inbox.”

Dirks is a notorious list-maker and suggests checking off three to four goals before formally starting the workday. This can help reduce pressure and maintain focus on other tasks that each new day brings.
