The changing landscape of ‘up north’ living

A lake in northern Wisconsin

Where is the best location to own a home in Wisconsin? Matt Stone, licensed Realtor and Door County resident, will tell you: northern Wisconsin. Where else can one find shopping strips, expansive woods, growing neighborhoods, clean beaches and cozy taverns all in the same roughly 10-mile radius?

Northern Wisconsin is also going through impressive transformations. Take the Sister Bay area, for example: The beach was remodeled with a new bandshell for outdoor entertainment, along with numerous newly opened restaurants.

“It’s a seller’s market,” Stone adds. “So if a new listing is priced competitively, there’s not much time to act.”
