In the fall of 2016, Emma Baumgart, Corporate Communications ’18, found her dream career path thanks to a new major offered at Marquette University. The Environmental Studies major allowed Baumgart to combine her creative, communications-focused interests with her passion for environmental issues.
As a senior, Baumgart interned at the city of Milwaukee’s Environmental Collaboration Office, where she turned her ideas into published materials, worked with members of Milwaukee’s sustainability community and found her love for writing communications content based on science and sustainability.
After graduation, Baumgart hopes to launch her career in a communications role at an environmental organization.
