From football players to recording artists, plant-based diets are now the norm — and the dining industry has capitalized on the trend. Wisconsin restaurants have added vegan items to the menu and the state has observed an influx of plant-based eateries.

In Madison, Monty’s Blue Plate Diner attracts customers from all over the state. Located in a refurbished gas station, the eatery offers vegan comfort food for visitors of all palates.

Urban Beets, a vegan restaurant that also focuses on whole foods and juices, recently opened its second location in the Wauwatosa area after its flagship store’s success downtown.
