Meanwhile, Bayfield Applefest (Oct. 3-5) celebrates local orchards and fall harvests with live music, craft vendors and orchard tours.

The Wisconsin Science Festival (Oct. 16-26) spreads across the state, offering hands-on exhibits, lectures and events merging art and science.

In Wisconsin Dells, the Fall Wine Walk (Oct. 4) takes place in downtown as well as the Great Pumpkin Train chugging through weekends in October, pairing scenic rides with seasonal charm.
