Festivals, historic buildings & vintage race cars this month

by Jan Schroder

Wisconsin in September is a hub of activity, with a variety of events for all interests.

Milwaukee will be particularly lively, hosting the Puerto Rican Festival of Wisconsin at Henry Maier Festival Park (Sept. 21), and the Doors Open Milwaukee event (Sept. 27-28), which offers a look inside over 150 of the city’s most iconic buildings for free.

The musical lineup is strong, with artists like Twenty One Pilots (Sept. 23) and Eric Church (Sept. 26) performing at major venues.

The month also features unique events like the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend with VSCDA at Road America in Plymouth (Sept. 12-14).
