Case study: Economic impact of the Eaux Claires Festival

by
Eaux Claires

In 2015, Eau Claire saw an estimated economic impact of $35.6 million from five major music festivals, one of those being Eaux Claires, a two-day music and arts festival started by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner of The National.

Its first year saw over 25,000 attendees, with 21,250 from over 60 miles away. The weekend earned a total of $6.8 million, or $3.4 million per day.

Vernon announced 2018 Eaux Claires’ attendees won’t know the lineup until arrival. Time will tell if the risky reveal affects the economic impact for 2018.
