Prior to the Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk in September, Wauwatosa-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. announced a $1 million donation to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and continued sponsorship of the fundraising event through 2022.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Briggs & Stratton – their support has been critical to the services we provide to kids and families throughout the state,” said Meg Brzyski Nelson, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation president.

Since Marquette University men’s basketball coach Al McGuire first started the event in 1978, more than $20 million has been raised with more than 15,000 people participating each year.
