Over the past five years, I’ve interned with five different organizations. With each internship I gained confidence in my career path, networked and accumulated new skills. Regardless of the enthusiasm (or lack thereof) with which I accepted these internships, each one awarded me unique experiences and capabilities.
Of course, at the time of acceptance, other summer jobs were both available and abundant. While babysitting or burger-flipping would’ve added to my bank account, it’s unlikely to have improved my resume. And now, the lackluster positions of previous summers have led me to the internship of my dreams with iHeartMedia, Inc.
