It may not be Silicon Valley, but northeast Wisconsin is fast becoming an IT hotbed.
Last fall, gener8tor, a nationally acclaimed business accelerator program, partnered with Microsoft to expand its gBETA program for area startups. Microsoft will also team with the Green Bay Packers to create TitletownTech, a $10 million project including an accelerator program, innovation labs and a venture capital fund.
Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, said tech investors are showing increasing interest in Wisconsin, where business costs are reasonable. “Interest from out-of-state investors is growing,” he said. “Wisconsin has a diverse technology footprint.”
