Dan Sidner and Joe Muench of Black Shoe Hospitality are the business partners behind three of Milwaukee’s favorite restaurants — Maxie’s (2007), Blue’s Egg (2010) and Story Hill BKC (2014) — loved by dining critics and repeat customers alike.

With plans for a second Blue’s Egg restaurant in Shorewood in 2018, Sidner sat down with us to talk about the business of running an award-winning operation — an SBA Wisconsin Award and top workplace honors among them.
